I’ll kick us off with what is the biggest news of my writing career so far…
Christina Katz will attend the fifth annual BEA, held on Wednesday, May 30 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York (!!!). She will sign copies of Writer Mama and present her session, “Get Known Before the Book Deal,” at the BEA/Writer’s Digest Books Writers Conference alongside Jodi Picoult, Don Maass, John Warner, Sharlene Martin and more! Will Schwalbe, senior v-p and editor in chief of Hyperion and Judy Hottensen, v-p and publisher of Miramax Books will also be speaking. Plus, the editors of Writer’s Digest Book, Writer’s Digest magazine and Writer’s Market!
Sage Cohen’s interview with Christina Katz about Writer Mama was reprinted in the March 31 issue of Absolute Write. Her essay, “Caution: Door Opens Without Warning” will be published in the April 12 issue of Absolute Write.
Cindy Hudson’s profile of Lawrence “Football” Badeaux appears in the Spring 2007 issue of Louisiana Life magazine. Her profile of Tilly’s Gelato and More, a gelato shop in the Cedar Mill neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, appeared in The Oregonian’s Washington County Weekly.
Contributor LORI RUSSELL’s articles “Cooking Up Business” about starting a food-based business and “Old Becomes New Again” about metal artist Tom Herrera, appear in the Spring issue of Columbia Gorge Magzine. Her article, “Planning for the Future” about the outlook for electric power in the Northwest was published in the April edition of Ruralite.
